CARIN-2000 is a digital telephony switching system. It enjoys a distributed control system based on stored program control. CARIN-2000 uses PCM/TDM technique.

CARIN-2000 has the flexibility to serve as a PABX, rural exchange, or local exchange. It is designed to handle voice and data communication based on ISDN. It has the capability to be integrated in any public network based on signaling protocol CCS-No. 7.

CARIN-2000’s flexible architecture allows it to serve in various configuration and capacities from 200 to 3360 ports. Its modular architecture let customers to increase its capacity just by adding needed modules without any other changes implied. Processing is distributed among a network of 8-bit and 16-bit microprocessors to enhance reliability, quality of service, and ease of system expansion.

CARIN-2000 can be equipped with up to five operator consoles. The console provides versatile functionalities and eases CARIN-2000 utilization as a PABX.

CARIN-2000 can service various third party communication devices including DTMF/Pulse telephone sets, intelligent phones, coin boxes, faxes, modems, paging devices. It can be equipped with various peripheral devices to provide enhanced monitoring and services including announcement modules, alarm panels.

CARIN-2000 can be integrated in telecommunication networks using a large array of trunk types including CO trunks, loop dial (for DID/DOD), 4-wire E&M, 6-Wire E&M, ring down trunks, digital CEPT-E1 trunks.

CARIN-2000 provides a set full feature tools for supervision, maintenance, and charging. Charging method can be flexibly be chosen between LAMA and CAMA.

CARIN-2000 provides a full bundle of features for subscribers which are continuously being improved.
